Chrysopogon zizanioides is commonly known as vetiver is a perennial bunchgrass of the Poaceae family, native to India. In western and northern India, it is popularly known as khus. Vetiver is important to the fragrance industry because of its characteristic woody notes and its composition has been extensively investigated from a natural products viewpoint.

Vetiver oil is known for its several medicinal and therapeutic properties. Its sharp and powerful fragrance is used popularly in several perfumes, and colognes that are particularly manufactured for men. Vetiver oil is also used for skin whitening creams and lotions.

Odour Profile: Vetiver Essential Oil is known to have base note with a strong aroma, that has an earthy, woody scent.

Blends well with: Cedarwood, Chamomile, Jasmine, Juniper, Lavender, Lemongrass, Patchouli, Rose, Sandalwood, Spikenard, Vanilla, and Ylang-ylang.

Dilute before use: for external use only. May cause skin irritation
in some individuals, and should be avoided by those having sensitive skin; a skin test is recommended prior to use, and contact with eyes should be avoided.

Storage: It is recommended that oils packaged in metal
containers (for safe shipping) be transferred into dark glass
containers to maintain freshness and attain maximum shelf life.
